Hi Devon and everyone Regarding framing the lace - I'd say yes to covering the back and yes to leaving a gap between fabric and glass. I have had some pieces in a frame for years (granted, in the damp west coast climate) and they seem fine. If the back is covered with conservation quality paper, it would 'breathe' but still serve its purpose, yes?
