Hi, Spiders:

This has been a very interesting thread. Super idea and certainly doable.
Lace did come here from Europe......as did a lot of us!!! So pattern, rather
than lace style, may be the thing to consider.

The first thing that came to mind was stars and strips or variations of
same. Chevrons, stars..... I looked and there is a Swedish pattern that has
some very acceptable eagles.....a suitable shield should not be a problem for
some of our talented designers.

Would these all the same...or would the one for the Chief Justice, be a bit
more extravagant?? These would be for the Court, not the individuals, I
assume. Also, they should be fairly sturdy...seeing as we have no idea who
will be caring for them.....hopefully some knowledgable textile conservator.

Do we want all lace jabots, or linen with lace trim? I would imagine that
Lady Justices' would be more comfortable using a more tailored lace, than the
Gentlemen would be wearing something too frilly.

Aurelia, I am not usually in the circle of lacers, but I do make lace and
have for some time. I have the time and would love to be considered for your
list.

That is about all the brain can conjure up at this time of day. Keep the
ideas coming...
Happy Lacing
