It was interesting (annoying!!) to note, that when the Vic. branch made the Lace for the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, it was a male Mayor, and he Loved the lace. However, about 2 mayors later it was a woman mayor (the first woman to hold the position, I believe) and she refused to wear it! No robes, and no lace. So don't waste time making lace for the women - make it for the men, they are more likely to wear it!!!
