Hello in Lacingland,
Do you ever have one of those days when you wish you could just pull the sheet over
your head and tell the day to go away.....well this is one of them. I guess Angelique
(my car) does not like signs. Last year I hit a stop sign when the sun on the horizon
blinded me for just a couple of seconds...but it was long enough for me not to be able
to see the stop sign and hit it. Angelique had to go in for a car lift ( you know face
lift). Well today my son ran over some signs ( except he hit 3 of them ) that were at
a Y intersection. So it was back to the garage for another "car lift" deal. Thankfully
he was not injured....but this day isn't through yet....there is finding out how much
damage money wise that was done to Angelique...and there is facing the husband when
he gets home tonight...what a weekend this will be....I WANT to go on vacation......
But since, I was in that part of town.....I decided to update my website. I have put
new pictures up on my tatting page for you all to look at.
Now for my bobbin lace page...well...that got updated too. Mark Myers, aka tatman
started making me a roller bobbin lace pillow. It was started two years ago, and life
got in the way....then earlier this year Mark told me that he would get my pillow
finished and he would give it to me personally in S.C. this year instead of mailing it
to me. So that is what he did. I have to tell you that Mark told me he was covering my
pillow with purple with black velvet material. Well...the only thing that went through
my brain was saloon girls in a bar room. I don't know why that picture entered my
brain....but it did...so I started calling my new pillow Ms. Floozy sight unseen
...you understand. hehe
But on my bobbin lace page you all can see the pillow that Mark made for
me...also....I decided to make some things to dress my pillow properly. You can see my
painting I did and my pin cushion etc. that I did for my brand new pillow. I am So
Verrrrrrryyyy Happpy with my new pillow. My pillow works like a dream too. Not too big
to handle but big enough to make some lace which I have already started.
So I think for tonight....I will be making lace and wishing the world would just go
away....I think my tatting and bobbin lacing are the best therapies in the world for
me. I even sing to myself while I am doing both of my favorite things.....
Anyhow....I hope you all enjoy the pictures.....let me know what you think.
Sherry
