I tried using leftovers for a small motif that I was working...... NEVER AGAIN! I got into all sorts of trouble, but thanks to Robyn's answer I was able to resolve some problems by using an "extension", so did not have to join in another thread on several bobbins. Being a thread miser is just not worth the hassle, I have come to realise.
