Yes, I'm a bit like her, too, bad punctuation makes me scream. I also hate
bad spelling, and I'm terribly annoyed to notice that I get dyslexic when
I type, and don't often re-read myself! I'm getting into bad habits, sob,
sob.
I have been known to tell restaurant staff that the French on their menu
is not quite up to scratch, and they might like to make the following
amendments...and hand them a piece of paper with my corrections while DH
cringes besides me :-) As I say, if you can't speak it, don't write it!!
Same thing for all those English speaking authors who love to drop the
occasional French or Italian phrase and usually botch it! Why bother,
unless you get it right?
