Lorelei, you ask for comments on the NL web page. I have only one comment - besides saying that you have done a good job with it.
The web page that tells you how to do reticella has beaut diagrams - very nice, and very clear, but they have one great fault! The Diagram C, and further on - 'Working the Pattern' diagrams, all show the needle going into the couching stitch. This would be a disaster, as when the couching stitches are cut away and pulled out, (when you release the finished NL from the pad) what would hold the lace together? -!!! The needle should be shown going between the 2 Trace threads (cordonet) - the foundation threads of the NL. I have commented on these diagrams before - when I first found them. Anyone trying to make NL from these would be SO disappointed when they finished that it could put them off for life! Other than this, I think you have covered it well. from Liz in Melbourne, Oz, [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
