So I bought a box(actually, tube) of the long and thin pins. When I got
them I
was disappointed because there weren't very many of them (about 150) and
they
were so thin that they hurt my fingers when I pushed them in.
I like the thin, tiny headed pins and they do hurt my fingers - so, I use
a black leather thimble when I make lace - just to push those pins in.
You can get the thimble from Clothilde, they are called 'nimble thimble'
- they come in small, medium, and large. They are soft, supple black
leather with a small metal plate to protect your finger, and a slit in
the end for your fingernail to stick out.
