Although the pictures on the cover are the same - well one of the photos on the back cover is different - the colour and wording of the title is different.
The original book has burgundy red writing on the cover which says:
Threads for Lace; A survey and comparison chart of over 600 lacemaking and other threads.
Edition 2 has blue writing:
Threads for Lace Edition 2; A survey and comparison chart of over 800 lacemaking and other threads.
Edition 3, which won't be around until sometime next year will have a different colour text (green?)
and will read:
Threads for Lace Edition 3; A survey and comparison chart of over 1000 lacemaking and other threads.
There are small differences inside, but the main thing was that all the threads in Addendum 1 were included in Edition 2. Edition 3 will include all the threads from both Addendum lists; and Addendum 3 will be started if and when something different turns up after it goes to print. Unfortunately there will almost certainly have to be an increase in the price. Ed 2 only has 4 pages more than Ed 1 because I was able to make the line spacing closer in Ed 2 and accommodate the extra threads that way, but I won't be able to do that again, so there will be a significant increase in the number of pages.
