Dear Beth, My thoughts are with all you people in the path of Ivan, I cannot even contemplate how I would feel if I was in your position, leaving your home and all precious contents to the mercy of a hurricane. I truly hope you will all be safe and sound and with no damage. Regards Sue M.Harvey Norfolk UK where mercifully we do not have extremes of weather.

I wanted more time to make lace, and well, now that I"m safe out of Ivan's way, I'll have the time to do it. I left New Orleans yesterday morning and drove to my Aunt's house in NW Louisiana, along with my 2 dogs and 4 cats. Brought along my "forever" project and a couple of books to read. Hopefully that'll distract me while I wait to see when it's safe to go home. Choosing what to take in a small car with the animals was tough. I did pack most of my antique quilts and lace... But left the books. My house sits at -3.5 feet (that's 3.5 feet below sea level), but my street is -5.5, so at least the floor of my house is 2 feet above the street. New Orleans is a lovely place to live, most of the time. This isn't one of them. > > Beth > Metairie, Louisiana, USA now in Logansport, LA > > - > To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: > unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
