Hello everyone,
Jeri Ames in Maine USA asked:
Do you like to have book reviews appear on Arachne, or would you prefer they be submitted for publication in various lace bulletins?

I have one weakness, well I guess one of many. But the one weakness that I am talking about here is my love and appreciation of lace related books. It seems that I can't get enough of them. And at the same time the limited income only allows me to satisfy that need occasionally. That is why I like the chance to read about the books that are available.

A book review that tells what lace the book is about and if there are patterns or prickings is a good idea. But what I really like are the personal reviews that give the readers own opinion on the usefulness of the book. I have been 'stung' before by buying books 'unseen' from e-bay and other internet sources. The description of the book sounded like it would be something I would like. But when I get the book it is nothing that I would ever use or even want taking up space on my bookshelves.

I belong to I.O.L.I. and have borrowed many books from their library so that I can see if I would be interested in getting my own. The library is an invaluable source of information. But it does take time. Asking on Arachne for information on books is a good idea. Especially if you need the information on a timely basis.

Just my 2 cents worth.
