Hi Spiders, Thanks to all for the lighting & magnification suggestions. I've decided to put off buying an Ott light until I can actually get my hands on one and have a good look. Plus it's really a bit out of my budget at the moment. I'll also not worry about magnifier just yet. I went to Ikea on Sunday, and ended up buying a small halogen desk lamp - cost me Aust$29. I tried it that night, and wow! it's amazing what a difference it makes. I can actually see what I'm doing. It's small enough to sit on the arm of the couch, just shining over my shoulder. I have the feeling it's the first in a line of lighting purchases, but for now it's making things a lot easier, and for a very little price.
