First there was a picture from another lacefriend, she made this design before but with lots of gold and silver. At the same time she gave me a piece of priking not the hole rapport, and she couldn#t find therest. So I drawed it again and made it to a "whole" design. In the origin at the end of the rapport one has to remove some pairs and bring new ones in on another place. I thaught this isn't good for a piece as a scarf and I managed not to do so. But then the colours came in another order in the next rapport. When i recognized this I had done two rapports about 25 cm, so I decided to work along. That#s why you can't see the rapport.
When you work with wool you need lots of attention for the edges. And when you make your own design try to have from time to time a line absolut straight from right to left, this give a solid hold. I am not sure If I am able to explain this clearly. This very thin and with more open spaces than solid parts have their own life and don't like to be flat. For scarfs with a "lacy" design it is better to mix wool with linnen or silk. If you make one only in a solid ground than it is about the same as a scarf from silk fabric.
Good luck for the next time.
