When my children were younger, we all used to haunt all the relatively local churches - and those not-so-local - to go brass-rubbing, and now, twenty-odd years later, I am doing the same with my young grandsons - the grand-daughter at three is still a mite too young to sit/kneel in cold churches whilst the rest of us rub away valiantly with our heel ball.
