I have just received my free local paper a day late, that is why I am late in letting people know about the sale of a Battle of Britain panel at Dreweatt & Neate in Newbury.
The sale is today, have just phoned Drewett and Neate, to be told it will come up for auction around midday. My newspaper says the following Nearly all of the battle of Britain panels that are known to have survived have been stored in museums, and it is very rare for one to appear at auction. One of these panels was originally owned by Lord Inverglide, and given to his butler after his death, who sold it to his current owner. \it is offered for sale with an estimate of 8,000 to 12,000 pounds. As this auction is local to me I have decided to go to the auction.
