And work at Jindabyne dam is progressing well, so that if we get decent rain and the dam fills again, the Snowy River may just flow again! (Currently the dam only allows a tiny trickle into what was a wonderful, historic river - new works will allow a better discharge).
....and I couldn't resist explaining this a bit more for North Americans, as it was one of the stumbly language-thingies that had me confused when I first came to Australia. Here, "dam" refers not only to the structure that holds back the water, but to the body of water itself (the part that, in the US, is called the "reservoir"). Built farm-ponds are also called "dams."
Just out of curiosity --- what are these things called in Britain and continental Europe?
