Sumac, thank you for sharing with us. I sent this auction info to another collector (not presently on Arachne) for comment. Both of us are wondering about the reasonableness of $350 for this small piece of lace, little more than a 14" long sample, with no famous provenance of maker/owner? This kind of an auction item always is questionable to me. It seems to suggest (though it may not actually be in this case) the cutting up of nice laces for inflated profit. Little samples.
