The yarn given is Coats & Clark
Knit-Cro-Sheen - a North american name. ...
Given the paucity of good knitting/yarn shops in my area I have no idea
where to start looking - or what to look for. Can anyone tell me what the
equilavent yarn is in the UK? This name is not in the cotton section of Brenda's book.
The old Knit-Cro-Sheen in my stash (J P Coats), figured out to 16 wraps per cm. That puts it with DMC Cordonnet 10 in Brenda's chart.
You can use any crochet thread you want, as long as you match the needles to that thread, for making your projects since they projects don't have to match anything. Size 10 is a very sturdy thread. Size 20 would make a bit smaller project.
Lace note -- finally finished my (census) luggage tag. All you lacemakers have two months left, if yours isn't done yet. See directions on the Lace Guild website if you haven't printed it off yet.
Alice in Oregon -- where they keep predicting snow but it hasn't come to my altitude yet. We just get rain. I got my snow tires put on, just in case.
