Lots of information and pictures here:-

Go to
http://www.wycombe.gov.uk/
and in the Search box type "bodger" and click Go
This should bring up a page with a list of links,
click on the second one down - "Local History",
which should bring up a copy of our local museum's leaflet.

It used to be called Wycombe Chair Museum, because of it's World Famous
Collection of Chairs, (you'd all heard of it, I'm sure); but now it's just
Wycombe Museum, (name cut back. like it's funding, I suppose).

It does have an interesting collection of old lace and lacemaking equipment,
so it's worth a visit it if you're ever in the area. Oh, and they have a
remarkable video of the old bodgers working in the local beechwoods -
measuring against various parts of their axes, and setting up pole lathes
and using them.

Linda Walton,
(High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, U.K.
 - home of the bodger and the Windsor chair).
