about whether wire lace is more noticeable than fiber lace,
Personally here in Germany I didn't make this experience when wearing lace in public but wearing it between lacemakers wir-lace things attract more interest
, textiles seem to suffer from some massive and unfair discrimination
This happenes here under museum people. They like to show dresses but lace they think would be oldfashioned. But as we say in german - steter Tropfen h�hlt den Stein- I tray as often as I have the possibility. And in the last costume-show here they decorated lace items (fans, parapluis, gants, socks and other lacy things) around the costumes.
Yesterday I got a calalogue with cloths, I hate buying this way so I through away such heavy "books" immediately. But yesterday I was so tired that I sit an looked it through and I found out that lots of cloths were decorated with lace alike pieces, not really elegant but I got the impression lace is again in. So let's go and make new items and show them how real and modern lace looks good.
