But no, that is not the case. In Withof rolling is done to bring depth in the lace. When a next part of the lace is sewn over the bundle into the finished part, the 2nd part will be behind the 1th part on the right side of the lace. When there is no additional part is attached to a worked part, the rolling strenghtens the lace. For rolling we use in Withof between 2 - 8 threads. The threads are bundled and worked as raised veins.
