More than I'd hoped for already, but I'm greedy -
may we hear from France? And Germany? Spain? Denmark?

As far as I know, the laces that we are used to make here in Spain as Torchon, Guipure lace (some times mixed up), Floral torchon, Blonda, Ret-fi, Witch Stitch, do not carry threads from one motif to another as it is made in Duchesse or Milanese.(The last book written by Pat Read, uses rolled edges to give a 3D effect).
If some pairs have to be added when working Blonda, they are thrown out progressively as needed when ending the motif worked with clothstitch. There is used a gimp pair to outline motifs.

Regards.
