I prefer to use a pillow for needlelace as it leaves both hands free for working. I am sure as with everything it is just a matter of personal preference. For example. I have a straw filled pillow and a poly one and I prefer the straw as the weight of it sits much better in my lap without moving about as I work on it.

Hi Spiders,

I'm curious as to whether many needlelace makers on the list use pillows
or not. The Valerie Grimwood book I have suggests using a pillow,
however to date I haven't used one. Too lazy to make one, don't feel
like buying one as yet.

What have benn your experiences pillow vs no pillow?

Thanks,
