I use big divider pins sometimes - to hang pairs-in-waiting on them. The drawback is I have to keep moving the pins as often as I need the bobbins. Usually I hope there is enough room on the 'top' of the bolster to place the bobbins out of the way of the work. For a Buckspoint edging made on a v. large bolster, there was enough room that the many bobbins not being used could hang at the back.
Some bolsters rest in a wooden support, which has grooved sticks to either side, at right angles to the work. Bobbin pairs not use are placed threadwise in the grooves, out of harm's way. Hope this is of some help. -- bye for now Bev in Sooke, BC (on Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada) Cdn. floral bobbins www.woodhavenbobbins.com - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
