Hi out there in Lacingland,
I am trying to make this cicular mat in Bucks Point that has honey ground
completely in the center. It is six sided as mats go that I have seen. There
are what looks to be 5 circles on the outside edge in each repeat of the mat. I
have looked and read the books I have in my collection. Not too much for Bucks
Point besides patterns with not much explaination on how to do them or should I
say the quirks of doing them. But I am lost. I know the books say to turn my
pillow 60 degrees when finished with one repeat. I am getting lost in the
honeycomb ground...and I can not visualize my footside as I am going around. I
have yet to get to the second repeat for I can't seem to get beyond the first
repeat. This is a motif that I am trying to make for a mini workshop that I am
taking. I am here without a teacher close by....and am depending on my books I
have and the lace list I hope to help me. After I get this cicular motif done I
will try and do more of them right from a book with
 step by
steps instructions. I know to some in Lacingland that is bad and I should be
able to read a pattern...but this is something new and maybe after I get a few
under my belt I will be able to do them without so much help. Thank you so much
for any help you can give me. I have to be where I have only one repeat left to
go before my next meeting and continuation on finishing the motif. Then I will
try to experiment with others of the same. In the meanwhile I will give Holly
VanSciver a call too.
  Sherry
