Hi Elaine and All,

I have at least one of the Newnham pillows - the largest is the one with a
circular centre, which can be moved round, and with a sort of 'skirt' that
holds the bobbins. It is wonderful for making fans and collars, or huge
round mats, but weighs a ton. It almost needs a block and tackle to lift
it, so it isn't carted round to Lace Days etc. very often - I tend to use it
at home, or on days when I am making lace for the whole day - such as the
Wymondham Lace Group days monthly - so I don't have to carry it far.

Most of my other pillows are made by Josie and Geoff Harrison - I don't
think they go to Lace Days now, but they still supply from home. I have
always thought of them as then best pillow makers in business now, and
thankfully, I don't think I'll have to worry about replacing pillows or
pillow-makers for some considerable time - I have more pillows than I could
use in a life-time, so my husband says - but I do like to try the newer
designs out, and definietely can't resist a new travel pillow, or something
I haven't seen before!

Carol - in a cold and depressing Suffolk UK, where the snow has gone and it
just looks wet and soggy outside!
