Am killing 2 birds with one stone here: Hair weaving: I have a feeling that there has been at least 1 article over the years in PieceWork on the subject of hair weaving. I haven't checked my collection, but I seem to recall one from a few years ago.
I think also (and you lacemakers in Victoria might know this), but I have a feeling that there is a piece of hair weaving on display at Como House. Seems like I recall that there is a floral arrangement under a glass dome, that when I looked at, looked a little different than any I'd ever seen, and I wondered at the time if it was hair weaving. Polyester thread: I agree, Pene, try it first. I seem to recall working with some and it was a little stretchy. Same with some of the machine embroidery threads, such as Isofil and I forget the other one.
