Dear Lacemakers,

On Dec. 8, 2003 - [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote the following to Arachne:

"The March/April 1996 issue of PieceWork Magazine has 5 pages on "Victorian
Hairwork".

"The May/June 2002 issue of PieceWork has 4 pages on "The Hairworkers of
Sweden". With fascinating photos. To accompany this article is a pdf on the
Interweave website, with instructions on how to make a home-made braiding
stand,
instructions how to use it, and ideas for improvised bobbins.

"

I (Jeri) have kept other correspondence from the last time we discussed this
topic (Dec. 2003), but have hesitated to include again since it was not even 1
1/2 years ago, and the people writing most this time around were Arachne
members then. What I did, and what will be a helpful suggestion to some, is to
print out messages that you may want to refer to at some future date, and place
them in a book on the subject. One reason I put some memos in books is
because my filing system is a disgrace, and it is impossible to find what I
need in
stacks of paper that should have been properly filed in a cabinet!
