How do you "Explaining to my husband why I want to spend $1000 on a lace conference... ?
Does your husband play golf? What's the difference between spending $1000 for a lace conference and spending $100 a week for at least 10 weeks playing golf?
Same goes for any other spouse hobbies.
In this case they are both still students (I think) and only married last summer, so I expect $1000 will be a big issue for them both. We certainly couldn't have afforded that amount of money for a vacation for us both, let alone for one of us when we were just married (just after college)
