Yes I would try as far as possible. But a picture isn't always as good to recocnize as the real piece is.

I appreciate that the real thing would be better, but I can't see many of us getting to Texas to help catalogue things! But between us we could probably get further than the curator has so far. It would be an interesting puzzle for us to work on, and an interesting challenge for us as a group
