Some new pictures have been posted on the Arachne Community Webshots site _http://community.webshots.com/user/arachne2003-date_ (http://community.webshots.com/user/arachne2003-date) in the Campaign for Modern Lace album. As you may see I induced my artistic daughter, once a young lacemaker, to design a piece of modern lace for me. She designed Serpent which is an artistic homage to Christine Springett's snake book mark, my daughter's first and favorite piece. It is made of three threads plied together, a green Madiera cotton, a glittery green and a translucent gold. It dips down on the back of the jacket, although this is not shown in the photograph.
