This is the UK equivalent of the "horror kit", but not quite as bad. It consists of plastic bobbins, plastic beads, thread and pins. The pillow is an uncovered polystyrene cylinder which fits into a cutout in a piece of cardboard which in turn fits inside the box as a support to make a "roller pillow". The cylinder is just placed in the gap in the cardboard and isn't supported apart from sitting in a hole in the cardboard and has to be lifted slightly to turn it - there's no spindle through it. The cardboard forms the apron of the pillow. The basic pattern included is a bookmark. The usual price in places such as our beloved Hobbycraft is GBP20.99. For that money a beginner could do better with just a piece of flat polystyrene packing, but then they probably wouldn't know that or where to get the rest of the equipment.
