That's an idea, I could sand the old varnish and transfers off some old bobbins and write the phrases on with a fine tipped pen :-) Does any one know the LAcemaker's Prayer? All I can remember is '....from half-hitches that run and people who say "is that all you've done?", Good Lord, deliver us'

So I got out a pair of beginners plain bobbins which I had coated with Folk Art undercoat, and a
very fine tipped marker pin, printed the saying on each (it wasn't that difficult - it's not
copperplate, but I can read it) and gave them a first coat of varnish. I'll give them another
couple of coats, then I'll always have my favourite saying with me as I work.
