i just found your email, and wanted to thank you for your help.  a
sewing bobbin is cheap and easy to come by and would definetly do the
trick.  but i have already made the investment in the wood and done the
carving now.  i am not sorry and i'm sure i will be proud of it when i
use it.  

i want to make a hankerchief with tatting edging.  and truthfully i
don't think i will do a lot of tatting because it mostly has patterns
one or two rows through and i would prefer the ones that make pictures
and designs using about 10 or 20.  just the same i am going to try it
anyway.
