Since my original response to this posting I have bought copies of lots 1-4
(lot 5 has smaller and less interesting patterns IMHO) and had a chance to
examine what you get. I think anyone interested in the Victorian point ground
laces (these came from Bayeux, but the designs closely resemble Chantilly)
would find these irresistible. I received oversized (probably A3) copies of
front *and back* of each parchment, all black-and-white but extremely clear.
Having the back is particularly useful for some of the most worn prickings.
The seller (ryphat) is also very pleasant to deal with. Yes, the patterns are
for sale (again/still)--they can be bought using Buy It Now or, for the more
economy-minded, at potentially lower prices as regular auctions. I would
recommend getting Lot 1 at the Buy It Now price if you only want one lot--
those are the cream of the crop IMO.

The one drawback is that some of the best patterns are obviously only fragments
of something much larger, which is a little frustrating. Also, of course,
these certainly aren't for beginners, and there's nothing to guide the worker
except the markings on the pricking!

Finally, something completely different--I have put up a webpage to show off my
wire lace jewelry, at http://home.mindspring.com/~skl58/index.htm
