Dear Spiders: I am speaking on behalf of the Rocky Mountain Lace Guild and the Mountains of Lace Convention committee. It is true that Lenka has sent a message to all of her students telling them that she is not teaching this summer.
HOWEVER, we still have a signed contract with her, and we are currently in negotiations with her to get her to come and teach at the convention. Frankly, her announcement to her students was a surprise to us and done without our authorization. I am asking you not to change any of your travel plans for this summer, not to cancel your room reservations and not to cancel your airplane tickets. We will be in touch with those students in the classes Lenka is scheduled to teach. Unfortunately, the only contact information we have for Lenka is an email address, so if any of you have an actual phone number for her, I would appreciate a phone call or email.
