Hello Sulochona

As Jacqui says, Deborah has been taking the photographs. I have been working on producing the CD.

However, there are a lot more entries than perhaps first expected and to fit everything onto one CD the images would have to be tiny, so I'm still awaiting a decision from the Executive committee as to whether it's several CDs or one DVD. There are pros and cons for both formats - more people can read CDs than DVDs but with several CDs there would be a lot of swapping discs etc. It's not my decision to make but I'm not going to do anything more until I know which format will be used.

Dear Lace Friends,

Whatever became of the Lace maker's census (UK Lace Guild).? I heard there was to be a CD made which one could buy. . . but there is nothing on the website.

My own contribution was an RPL , which you can see at:

Best wishes

Hi Sulochona et al - the labels are still being catalogued. I have been helping Deb Robinson do this and we had reached almost 2000 when she had to break off to produce the next copy of 'Lace' . We shall be starting again next Wednesday, and there could easily be another 500+ to catalogue, and then Debs has to photograph them all. There will be CD's of them all eventually, but there is still a lot of work to do yet. They are all being kept in loose ring binders and will be on display at the Hollies, and at other exhibitions, lace days etc - may be not all of them as there will be a lot,
with roughly 100 labels in each binder.
