Gentle Spiders - I see that in #208 my fatigue and hurried editing as I composed created typos that conflate Pellestrina and Chioggia, both in the Venetian Lagoon south of Venice. I visited both in quest of lace on the 2001 trip I described, in fact we had to change transportation in Pellestrina to proceed on to Chioggia. My advance research had indicated that basically the same lace was made in both locations. My apologies to the geography sticklers who've either noticed and were too polite to say anything and those of you about to notice the error and pounce! Cheers, Shirley
