I used to hate double picots (the single ones don't look as good, but don't sprout rabbit ears, either; 6 of one, half the dozen of the other, and pox on both their houses <g>) until I discovered wire lace... You make a double picot in wire and, by golly, it *stays put*. What's more, it can be improved afterwards... Bliss :)
