I gather the main concern is having entries get lost or damaged in shipping by carriers. I wonder if it would be possible for IOLI to allow persons to submit professional quality photographs in advance, as an alternative to shipping the actual piece for photographing by IOLI staff, for people who would rather not take that risk. Or is the judging done around the same time as the photographing? I am completely new to all this, so these are really just some questions for you all who know the ropes, from a curious bystander who does not intend to participate in this go-round....
