The machine made lace is pretty inexpensive, then comes the Chinese Point de Venise NL and the Asian made BL which commands a better price, but anything made locally will have a LARGE price tag - if they even bother to price it! If you need to ask the price you can't afford it! Having said that, when I was there on a day trip this time last year. I bought a Cluny BL edged hankie for 8 Euros - about 5.50 GBP which is about an hours worth of labour in UK. I certainly couldn't have made it in an hour!

Apart from the hankie, I bought a couple of reels of different threads in 't Handwerkerhuis in Katelejan Straat (SP?) which is the only shop that sells bobbins or threads (unless you arrange a visit to Bart & Francis) and chocolate, went on a canal boat ride and ate a delicious lunch al-fresco outside one of the many cafes and bars, and got some wonderful sunset photos as we walked back to the coach.
