And that, I think, is the key word - cheesy. So that one moves from
"ooooh, I want that!" through "do I really want that?" to "I wouldn't
give it houseroom if they paid me" in a quick succession :) They do
have some things one may need at the moment and, if they do, it's
inexpensive, but...
"Michael's"!! I think we went through every aisle twice before she had
whipped her pocket snake into submission!!
And through some aisles 3 and 4 times :) But, once I knew the layout of
the store, I could navigate, quickly, to the spot I knew might have
something of interest, and be "outa here" in a reasonable amount of
time.
What I'm saying, Babs, is don't be _too_ sorry you don't have such
monsters in UK; they're time wasters and financial traps for the
unwary. My house is bulging with junk even though I've not visited a
Michaels in 18 months or more, and have reduced the trips to Walmart to
a minimum (and those are true "blitz krieg"s, planned to the last
detail for fast entry and exit). When one gives into impulse buying,
one tends to end up with useless c..p.
