Great to find sources for ornament holders! Today while near the shops
I had time to waste, and like Clay and Tamara so long ago <vbg> I went
to Michael's, up and down every aisle accumulating some bargains. I
don't live where the 'flyers' with the coupons are sent to the
door/mailbox, yet there was one, a Charlie Bucket golden ticket: a 40%
off coupon lay by itself among the polyester pillow forms - left by
another customer? meant for me? Meant for me...This brought the most
expensive item in my basket, at 9.99, down to 5.99. With the other
small purchase I still spent less than 9.99 including taxes (go me)
and enjoyed a long browse, working my way through the store to see if
there were any 'ornament holders.'

I did find them, with the name Brass Ornament Hangers, in one of the
aisles with framing materials, 4.29 (Canadian) for the 3" high, and
4.49 for the 6" high. The small one was too low, and the large one was
too high, if I was to hang a lace ornament - which still at this point
I"m not, however, if I give my dear mom an ornament for Christmas, I
shall try to make the hanger too.

I'm going to try coat hanger wire, for the sake of experiment, and use
my wire bender tool (the kind with all the different grooves and
curves in it).

Despite the fact that, actually, I didn't even want one in the first
place, this has been quite fun :))
