Have to add my two cents worth. (maybe ten cents) : ) At 72 years young, I have the attitude of if you got it flaunt it. When you want someone to notice something and ask questions, make it big. When trying to draw an interest in tatting or lace making, like when demonstrating, I have a large pair of tatted earrings with a mini wooden lace bobbin in the center. They get a lot of attention and I can tell people that they show that I do both bobbin lace and tatting. Then I tell about our guild and how they can join. We all have out likes and dislikes. I'm all for showing off our skills. Let's get all the attention we can get for our tatting or lacemaking. If making these big earrings in tatting will get some young girl interested in learning, so be it. I can also see a few Rosa Libre flowers on a hoop earring. Chalk one up for lace. Or even Irish crochet roses. Patsy A.
