I signed onto Arachne in June '96, so I was among the 2nd "wave".
I thought about "Archduchess/duke" as a title but that is too royal. I looked in the dictionary & found the word "archangel" which isn't sexist either. It is also close to the word arachne. Made me think of all those spiders who get sent to heaven just because people are frightened of them & don't appreciate their vital role in nature.
