These threads look like the rayon threads made in Pakistan that I buy from the markets or Asian shops in UK. I have made lace with them - you can see some of the results here: http://www.sandbenders.demon.co.uk/bobbinlace/sari.htm Like all rayon threads they are hard to handle. Very slippery and springy so they tend to come off the heads of the bobbins. The size is quite suitable for lacemaking.
