I have to say that I have not seen that kind of decoration on a bobbin before. The drilled or burnt holes of the name and then the dye being removed or not allowed to get to the letters.(Latter I would guess)

Does anyone have other examples that they may have of this please?

Brown or Wright come to mind as makers, but neither jump out and hit you as a maker as there are features of both on the bobbin. I would like to see the row of drilled holes that are on the opposite of the name, a little more clearly.

I would be interested in seeing a few pictures of these if anyone could send them to me please.

I have to say that although I have been privileged to see and have access to some excellent collections of bobbins, there still some surprises that come my way.

Many thanks
