I gave up looking for a Jean bobbin quite quickly when I realised that most of us Jeans in the UK were born within a relaltively short timespan, mostly just after the second world war. As I'm often misnamed Jane by those even older than I am, I settled for a Jane - after all the letters are just in a different order :-) I did make one myself using an old, but not antique bone bobbin (nothing like as good as an original one), making the dips with a Dremel (small modelmakers electric drill), but I don't include it in my antique ones.
