Bev,   I believe I know the one you are speaking of: but that is not the one I
was referring to.

I 'dove' into the lace room and believe it or not found the pattern in about
30 seconds.
The one I was referring to is "Rose Flower Pin" courtesy of Paulette
Collerette.
I am not sure what publication I got it from, maybe IOLI (a long time back).
I believe Alice is talking about the same one.  This one has 11 scallops, and
yes half makes a good 'bud'.

Alice, I will be offering it to my new Beginning Class.  Last week I started
8-9 4-H girls and mothers on a course of lacemaking.  Some of the older girls
are into costuming particularly the 16 century.  They do re-enactments etc.
The whole family participates.
