I have spent a happy time on this snowy day exploring the new web site:
       http://www.handweaving.net/DAHome.aspx

I checked on the CD area and found that it only mentioned weavers and weaving. Be patient! Kris will be posting the information for the lace CDs as soon as he can.

Another thing I found was something called Gallery. Here it seems that he posts items that have been woven from the books and patterns that the weavers have sent in--from old out-of-copyright material. I wonder if any lacemakers (or tatters or knitters or etc etc) have tried to copy any of the old material? If so, we can certainly add to the list. If you think that's a good idea, please let me know.

In fact, I hope that people will write me with suggestions for improving the lace section of this new version of the Professor's site. Kris Bruland, our new man, is very welcoming to lacemakers, but he is a weaver and doesn't automatically understand what we might want to see on the site. He is definitely devoted to answering our suggestions, so please think about it.

By the way, I found that if you go to "languages" and put in the language of your choice, you will see a nice listing of everything on site in that language.
